Step 1: Install the App
- Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for WhatsApp Messenger, and tap Install.
- iPhone: Open the App Store, search for WhatsApp Messenger, and tap Get.
Step 2: Set Up Your Account
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Tap Agree and Continue to accept the terms of service.
- Select your Country from the drop-down list.
- Enter your Phone Number and tap Next.
Step 3: Verify Your Number
- Look for a 6-digit verification code sent to your phone via SMS text.
- Enter the code into the WhatsApp screen.
- Note: If you do not get the text, wait for the countdown to finish and tap Call me to get the code via an automated voice call.
Step 4: Create Your Profile
- Type in your Name.
- Tap the Camera icon to upload an optional profile picture.
- Tap Next.
- Allow WhatsApp permission to access your contacts so you can see who is already using the app.
